It's Never Too Late to Dream Big: Publishing Your First Book

"There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed."

- Ernest Hemingway

There are many misconceptions concerning book publishing. Many view the endeavor as a pipe dream or an accomplishment designated for the youth, as opposed to a monumental goal designed to be realized by those brave enough to dream.

It is common for many of us to set up mental boundaries that provide excuses for why we can't accomplish our goals in life. The most common excuse is being too old. When it comes to getting your story out to the world, there is no age restriction.

Think about this:

One of the greatest novelists of the 20th century, Ernest Hemingway, wrote arguably one of his most valued pieces, The Old Man and the Sea, at 53 years old. This came after a near-decade stint of pieces that failed to resonate with audiences and critics alike.

While The Old Man and the Sea, was Ernest Hemingway's last major work, he was able to accomplish his pursuit of crafting a piece of literature that stands the test of time by employing hard work and dedication. Both of which are key ingredients to achieving your goals and finding success and meaning.

Question, are you a writer?

If so:

Have you already written a book and looking to publish it? If you have already written a book, congratulations! It's time to reach out to a different kind of publishing house like us to help you get your book on shelves.

Do you want to write a book but need a ghostwriter? If you have an idea for a story and would like another experienced writer to create it, consider hiring a ghostwriter. A ghostwriter refers to a person who is contracted to write speeches, journalistic works, novels, etc., that officially credits another person (i.e., you) as the author.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does!If you are an aspiring writer in need of help publishing your first book or finding an experienced ghostwriter to help you create your first book from scratch, contact us at Blue Sky Publishers to learn how we can help you become the person you always wanted to be - a published author!
